The Oakville Prayer Breakfast starts at 6:45 am on Wednesday Dec 6th and runs until 9am. The Prayer Breakfast will feature a hot buffet breakfast, networking, music, prayer and keynote speech by Julia Hanna, a successful local restauranteur, who has opened and operated numerous restaurants in Oakville, some of which you may have heard of.
Hanna opened Café Galleria in 1983, Paradiso in 1993, Ristorante Julia in 2003, and Ritorno in North Oakville in 2008. Hanna describes herself as a vibrant Christian who will share her experiences with the restaurant world.
Hanna started an organization called HealthyFam which empowers families to build a foundation for healthy living. She has also been chair of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce and was a recipient of the Oakville Award for Business Excellence.
The Prayer Breakfast is modelled after those done in Ottawa and Washington, where people pause to reflect and pray for leaders and give thanks to what we have been blessed with in life. It takes place at 2515 Wyecroft Rd. Visit www.oakvilleprayerbreakfast.com for more details.
Hanna is expected to speak about how her faith has helped her become a strong leader and businesswoman,
Ann Mulvale, former mayor of Oakville, has been on the Prayer Breakfast Committee for a number of years and will be the MC of this year’s event.
